Kazberuk and Szustkowski in LOTTO Baja Poland

LOTTO Baja Poland, the 8th round of the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies will draw attention of the best drivers attending the off-road events. Jarosław Kazberuk and Robin Szustkowski will be present once again on the start of the competition. The duo representing the LOTTO School of Masters admits competing in Poland is always a highlight of the season as the fans gathered in Drawsko Pomorskie and the neighborhood of Szczecin, where the Rally Park is located, create unforgettable atmosphere. The crew Kazberuk/Szustkowski, just like during previous rounds of the FIA World Cup, will start behind the wheel of the Poland-built Ford Raptor competing in class T2.

LOTTO Baja Poland will be held during 27th – 30th of August and for the 4th time in a row the competition will be a round of the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies – the most prestigious series in cross-country events. The rally will also attract the couple attending in the program: “student-master”, namely the young and very talented Robin Szustkowski and hugely experienced Jarek Kazberuk, who is really happy with the progress his protégé has made throughout this year.

The LOTTO Team crew, similarly to other drivers taking part in LOTTO Baja Poland, will have to cover 706 kilometers, 414 of which will be special stages. Jarek Kazberuk and Robin Szustkowski don’t plan to conduct any tests on the military area in Drawsko before the start. Instead, the pair starting in Ford Raptor announces participation in Hungarian Baja, 7th round of the World Cup for Cross Country Rallies, which is scheduled on half of August. The Polish team has already started, among others, in two desert rallies in Abu Dhabi and Qatar and also in Spanish Baja Aragon, where the crew was 6th in class and 12th in the T2 cars category.

Jarosław Kazberuk: - The truth is I am still the “champion” in our team, but Robin keeps getting better and better, he covers more kilometers and we switch more often during rallying in our Ford Raptor. Robin is also great as a co-driver – he can combine driving and delivering pace notes, which is an excellent feature. Within the framework of preparation, we will start in the next event of the World Cup, which will be held in Hungary. The characteristics of this rally is very similar to the one in Szczecin. We will also compete on the military test area there. We can’t wait to start in LOTTO Baja Poland, we are fully focused and want to attack from very the beginning with hopes for a great result.

Robin Szustkowski: - We keep developing our car and we have one more test in front of us before the LOTTO Baja Poland – we will start in the next round of the FIA Cup in Hungary. It is difficult to say before this start what positions we will fight for, because we can’t predict how the changes we made in the car after Baja Aragon will work out. I am happy to start in Poland. I like this rally – we have a favourable weather and demanding stages with beautiful landscape around, which thanks to its intensity can beat you black and blue. Stages a bit longer than 100 kilometers are pretty much a sprint, during which we have to be fully concentrated and have no time to rest. It won’t be easy, but we will give everything it takes in those demanding conditions.
