Hołowczyc’s misfortune

Krzysztof Hołowczyc, who has won Baja Poland five times, definitely will not rate this year's edition as successful. About 70 kilometres after the start of the second run of the stage placed at the firing range in Drawsko Pomorskie, the car with number 105 had a technical issue and the crew Hołowczyc/Kurzeja was forced to retire from the Saturday leg. 1997 European Rally Champion promises to be present on the last leg of ORLEN Baja Poland.

Krzysztof Hołowczyc: We were geared up to make our loss up on the second Saturday stage but the loss turned up as even bigger. Unfortunately, technology defeated us today. We have some kilometres to cover tomorrow but we have to forget about winning and reaching any good result now. However, we are happy that I can keep the pace and be faster than guys who compete on a regular basis. There is a moment when you can find your rhythm. I was driving quicker and more calmly and this is very important in cross-country rallies. Sadly, technology got ahead today.
