The FIA World Cup is coming back on rally routes

Three days of fight, seven special stages, more than 444 km of rallying - we know the first details of this year's edition of Wysoka Grzęda Baja Poland. The FIA World Cup round will be held from 4-6 September in Szczecin, Dobra and Drawsko Pomorskie. Entries have just started. A starring cast with competitors from the Dakar Rally at the head is expected.

The Foundation Baja Poland has published the regulations and has launched entries for the round of FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas. This will be the most important motorsport event this year in Poland. Almost half a year break in the FIA World Cup entail the rally organizer to expect a large number of entries and leading rally teams and baja rally stars. Those who are thirsty for the most difficult and the longest rally routes in Poland can already enter to Wysoka Grzęda Baja Poland.

"We receive numerous questions about the rally from competitors from all over the world, which makes us very happy. Most of the teams still want to race and plan to start in Wysoka Grzęda Baja Poland. This year's season has shrunk a lot, which may cause that entry list surprise us. We have already confirmed the first strong crews" - says the chairman of the organizing committee, Michał Kaczmarczyk.

Even more fun for the competitors

The routes of the biggest baja rally in Poland will again visit Szczecin, Dobra and Drawsko Pomorskie. During the three days of the rally, the competitors will drive a total of more than 817 kilometers, fighting for the best times in seven special stages, over 444 kilometers long.

"Friday and Sunday will be traditional positions in the rally schedule. The competitors will start the competition from the 7-kilometre-long Qualifying Stage at the shooting range of the 12th Mechanised Brigade at Szafera Street in Szczecin. Sunday, on the other hand, will be the end of the competition on classic "curves" next to Dobra Szczecińska and routes near Lubieszyn and Wołczkowo, driven twice with a total length of 57.3 km". - says deputy clerk of the course, Tomasz Brzeziński.

This year's novelty will be the location of the main rally park, which has been moved to the evolving Szczecin-Dabie airfield. In turn, the rally HQ will be located in the Sailing Centre located next to it. On Friday morning and noon, a Shakedown will be held in the area surrounding the airfield, where the competitors will be able to warm up and check their vehicles before start.

"We have made a lot of changes in the configuration of the longest 190-kilometre long special stage, located in the Drawsko Pomorskie Military Training Area. The routes on the military training area in Drawsko Pomorskie are a hallmarks of Polish baja rallies. They allow us to arrange the special stages in such a way as to give the most fun from driving to the competitors and that was our main goal this year". - adds Brzeziński.
